The Motorola-SDPC Center for Enterprise Excellence held a meeting on its achievements in Beijing on September 9, 2002, at which the center was hailed by the SDPC as an example of mutual collaboration. "The Motorola-SDPC Center for Enterprise Excellence has been playing a significant role in enhancing enterprise management, promoting the reform of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and elevating the competitiveness of enterprises in our country," said Zhang Guobao, Vice Chairman of the SDPC.

The Motorola-SDPC Center for Enterprise Excellence SOE training project is of far-reaching significance for China's SOE. The center is accommodating the country's needs as well as those of the enterprises and the implementation strategy for development of China's western region, and has produced fruitful results.
