		Motorola Announces Appointment of Daniel Shih as Country President for China Beijing , China -15 December 2003-Motorola, Inc( NYSE:MOT) a global leader in integrated communications and a major foreign investor in China today announced the appointment of Daniel Shih as corporate vice president of Motorola and president of Motorola(China) Electronics Ltd.(MCEL), reporting to Gene Delaney, executive VP and president of Global Relations and Resources Organization. Gene is also the chairman of the board, MCEL. "Motorola is delighted to announce Daniel Shih as the president for Motorola China. We have full confidence in Daniel's leadership and believe he will bring great value to the team. "said Gene Delaney. Daniel Shih started his career at Dow Chemical in late 1970s and has worked in a number of multinational companies including GE and Ernst &Young in different global locations. Prior to joining MCEL, Daniel Shih previously served as vice president, Public Sector Business Consulting of IBM Greater China Group. Daniel Shih brings with him more than 25 years of experience and expertise in areas of senior management and leadership in both growing the business and leading a scalable organization to meet and exceed the company's expectations.
