Black Belt: Program Requirements and Policies
Requirements:
-
Participants are required to bring a laptop computer loaded with MINITABTM statistical software to the 4-week program. (For more information about MINITAB software, visit www.minitab.com). Participant laptops must have CD drives for loading additional files during the program.
- It is strongly recommended that on-site consulting between sessions be considered to accelerate project implementation. The additional cost would be based on project location and complexity.
Certification:
Participants have the option of purchasing certification as part of their Black Belt development. Black Belt certification requires:
- Completing training,
- Passing a test, and
- Demonstrating project results.
As part of the program tuition, you will complete step 1 above and receive a training certificate indicating completion of that step. To receive formal Motorola University Black Belt Certificate, you must choose the "Training + Certification" option, pass the online final test and submit write-ups for two completed projects for review by Motorola University Six Sigma Black Belt Assessment Committee.
Policies:
- Participants are expected to make their own travel arrangements, including hotel reservations, local transportation and meals.
- Billing will occur 30 days prior to the start date of the program. Payment is due in full prior to the program start.
- Motorola University reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the program based on low enrollment with 4 weeks notice.
- Motorola University is not responsible for non-refundable travel expenses. We do not recommend purchasing non-refundable travel tickets.
- To avoid penalty, participant cancellations must be received in writing 30 calendar days prior to the program start date. You must receive written acknowledgement of your cancellation from Motorola University in order for the cancellation to be valid. Cancellations received less than 30 calendar days in advance will incur a charge of 25% of the course fee.
- Substitutions are allowed anytime prior to the first week of the program. There will be no substitutions once a participant has completed the first week of the program. If a participant must leave the program after the first week, they will be issued a credit to complete the remaining weeks during another scheduled session.
- Motorola University retains ownership of all materials delivered during the program. Only participants who have completed the program may use the materials. Any materials provided by Motorola University during the program are not allowed to be duplicated or reproduced without the express written consent of Motorola University.
