The Six Sigma Conference Asia Pacific 2008 was held in Malaysia Convention Centre on the 21 & 22 February 2008. We had leaders & practitioners from various industries & countries who had committed themselves to undertake the journey of business process excellence through Six Sigma share their stories. A total of 269 delegates attended the conference. Presentations covered the following 4 themes: Theme 1: Six Sigma Strategy & Leadership Alignment; Theme 2: Innovation Through Design for Six Sigma; Theme 3: Leading Six Sigma with Lean Thinking & Theme 4: Six Sigma Achievement in Services
All these organizations that presented during the conference understand that in today's climate of technological change and the instability of markets, many organizations are affected by falling sales, rising costs and aggressive price wars. These market forces and rapidly changing customer and employee expectations drive the need for Six-Sigma deployment. These organizations have recognized that Six Sigma initiatives are synonymous with profit enhancement. More imperatively, Six Sigma scrutinizes the organization as a whole striving for perfection and value added elements. All these are derived from meeting customer requirements, reducing wastages, acquiring efficient business processes, increasing employee morale and high quality products! |
